yes I would opt for a translation issue.
if I translate " shenzhen now owns pilots" into french it would be "Maintenant Shenzhen possède ses propres pilotes" and this would be no offence !!
English language is so poor that you frequently use one word for different things, witch is not the case in many other languages.
eg : to own = posséder owner= propriétaire
as you see in french for exemple there are two very different words when in english it looks/sounds the same.
