I'm sure you all have access to the seniority list.
It's not just about recruitment numbers but about the total gain in Pilot numbers. The seniority list published by the company in October 2010 and 2011 had a net gain of 25!! You can quote numbers, even sounding like impressive numbers, for recruitment but they need to mean something.
A net gain of 25 will not cut the mustard.
With the additional net aircraft CX received (Total received less those leaving the company) in that period it is obvious to anyone that we are in dire straits as far as required crew numbers. Ask the large number of F/Os rostered into overtime but then actually doing more hours per month than actually rostered.
