Iberia strike and Supply and Demand

I agree with you both Brimbau and Iver but

According to a good source it is 800 Euros is base pay and low hour pilots make about 2100 Euros and if they fly a lot around 2700 Euros Net. It is on the hours they fly and they fly a lot. Yes if they get sick the pay is really pathetic with this poor base pay. Not saying it is good or aceptable, sadly people accept this pay to be in Spain and good ones go to Emirates. Sadly pilots much accept responsablity for for signing up. What choice does a guy have when others accept it bringing down the market.

You see this discussion so many times on PPRUNE

Vueling management does not understand the value of hiring decent highly experienced pilots. That hiring pilots with experience increases the value of the company and improves the image and Flightsafety in front of the paying public.

Why the hell do they think airlines have SFO ´s ?

Understand direct entry high experienced pilots get paid more at Vueling, due to a recent agreement. ?? The senior FO´s at Vueling have better conditions and pay.

Is Easyjet much better where pilots have to pay all this money to CTC ?
Those who go to Easyjet from CTC pay a lot more to get in than these Vueling pilots.

Iberia has a hiring freeze as they want pilots to enter with cheap and miserable conditions this is why they are starting Iberia express. This is why the Iberia pilots are going on strike as they had Clickair and now Clickair II for very low cost pilots
