Firstly they said 50% on the 21st and only for upgrades now it's 50% discount for everybody, regardless. So what bout the technical difficulties? Very poorly handled pricing policy. There must be a refund policy in place in apple store, I take it. I'd press for a refund or a complete return of the product. In case the software developer proves to be unapproachable and doesn't show appreciation of old customers, walk away without looking back.
