An Air China B747 coming from JFK diverted from Beijing and ended up at diversion airport with less than 6000 Lbs fuel on board........
Should they had to do a go around at diversion, they would have flamed out engines for sure.....
So much for flight safety in Air China.
The flight seems to have ended in a safe manner
Is there any confirmation that the flight was conducted in an unsafe manner (fuel planning) or is this just an example of a rare set of conditions not anticipated in an SOP ?
