We had just started descent when told 30 mins holding due runway closure. not much info coming from ATC, probably wasn't much to pass on until the a/c was clear and requirements assessed.
Jahore filled up quick with SQ diversions and Batam became the flavour of the arvo, company fuel would have seen us there.
Landed 55 mins after initial prediction, still legal.
Pavement dry when we landed and history winds were not above 3 kts, base above 8000ft, no TS on TAF.
Interested to know the details when released, great day 1 for line training, just like a sim session except no break for coffee!
