Do the base guys have the licence or is it just the famil course with MXI. I know some base guys are enjoying 380 land as they are away from most of the crap over in base, eg base ops managers etc.
Also the fact that they are trying new stuff like coneheads doing wheel changes and dirty work and mechs doing elec work.
I know not all people like it but you can't please everyone.
As with the segregation,well it would make sense to stay with 1 make. If you only worked on a 380 1 day in a month you would spend half of that day getting familiar again. 330s to a similar degree, but a Boeing is a Boeing. If you have worked on a 744 then a 738 or a 767 are easier to get into.
If cranky frank tries to implement new disjointed procedures into 380 with his knowledge of the aircraft,then the fleet would come to a grinding halt.
