Experience?????

I have an ATPL with IR and night and just under 20 night hours before it becomes unrestricted. I thought I was getting somewhere, but apparently not.

Everyone is asking for prior experience in all the co-pilot offshore jobs I am applying for, but how can you get the experience without first getting the job! Trying to figure out how the industry expects to keep acquiring pilots with experience without putting something back into the pilots. It's a cycle and if you break the chain, then it will stop some time in the future and then everyone will have to hand out endorsements, etc, anyway.

False economy if you ask me. The question is how to get around the 300 hrs or one year offshore experience demanded by the companies (or rather their clients) ? Or better, which companies are actually willing to give you a chance! Any ideas or comments would be helpful, pretty frustrated at the moment.
