Peanut allergy
I know of one definite case where a crew disclosed this allergy at recruitment, and during the medicals, on the medical forms. They were told no problem but on re-doing the medicals in Dubai were told requirement of an Epi-Pen is not accepted by the GCAA for use onboard for crewmembers and this person was sent back to their country.
I know this because I heard it first hand from this crew as we chatted in the clinic.
Sorry but it doesn't look good for you.
Proud Mum I am not sure if this affects crew ALREADY employed, but I find it strange that the GCAA would exempt their own requirement when lesser thigns will cancel a license. It may be that you daughter didn't tell them about the Epi Pen part? Allergies are ok which are controllable with minor medications.
