In short, there are some serious questions to ask about what Alan Joyce and chairman Leigh Clifford are really on about in their illogical claims to be gutting Qantas in order to make it stronger by turning to minority Asian controlled entities subject to what appear to uncertain negotiations with Singapore or Malaysia as the alternative solution to its aversion to being Australian.
The stench around this sorry saga is sickening
This is NOT about AJ.......he is just the hapless,compliant messenger.
It IS..... all about the Board and LC- driving there hair-brained "agenda" which appears to be:
1. positioning JQ as THE NATIONAL CARRIER.
2. closing down Qantas Int.
3. opening up the rest of the business to asset stripping (Private Equity maggots)
Over at V-central.......JB is lapping it up. Moving capacity from the Tasman and Abu Dhabi and redeploying it in Oz. Why the hell wouldn't he ?????
He must be thinking to himself (in the same mode as Kerry Packer with Alan Bond buying Channel 9).....this deal is only going to happen once in my lifetime.
I just hope (before its not too late) that someone lifts up the Moet - drenched rug and discovers WHAT THE REAL AGENDA IS HERE..........'cause it aint about wages and "competitive international pressures".
