Yesterday I was obviously very bored and had the awful idea of turning the TV on, first thing I saw was a report about riots in Greece from government employees who had their salary cut to 95 eur a month (ninetyfive). These were the lucky ones, because the vast majority of the people they interviewed were out of job and with a couple of kids to feed.
Now let's for a second look at what a First Officer (say in continental Europe) gets every month at EZY: job security, permanent contract (yes, after a while nowadays), fixed pattern, a LOT of money, possibility to upgrade if he/she is good enough (and willing to move around Europe), too many sectors on some months but way too few in some others! one and half month vacations per year (joining them to the normal days off), some random roster months (but at least you have a break on the 5 earlies in a row-if you are lucky!), pension, loss of licence insurance, free shares every once in a while, a very good airline to have on your CV (just in case you need it in the future!) and probably a lot of other stuff (positive and negative) I forgot.
All of this just to say that I honestly got a bit bored of reading all the nonsense some people write on here. Get real and have a look at the world around you before complaining of the alarm going off too early.
BA,AF,LH are all great companies but a job is a job and a plane is a plane. And try to wake up because the world is not what it was in the 70s and 80s anymore, face it.
