It must be mentioned somewhere in JAR OPS. I have to say that there are a handful of topics of which people often struggle to find the sufficient technical details about them in manuals but you only get to know these by practice! Unfortunately, holding procedures is one of such topics.
Agreed anyway... Within +/- 5 degrees, it's your choice.
