Well, an airline/airport-related experience is IMO the best choice.
But, if you require a stress-less job, with many contacts in aviation, you could try an AFIS job.
You provide flight information service, and you have MANY opportunities to get drunk with TRI/TRE's, chief pilots, vets etc... who spend a lot of time in your VFR airfield (gliding / instructing ...)
After a few time you build up free hours by give out flight initiations, first flights, people ask you to fly them over remote airfields because ... who doesn't trust a CPL frozen ATPL isn't it ?
