Usualguy, it will be August of 2013. Also, I'm so glad that you are sympathetic with the regional airlines.
If the pool of candidates dries up (which I don't think it really will, especially since the universities with aviation programs are lobbying for reduced mins), it can only be good for pilots. The regionals will have to increase pilot pay and Ts & Cs to attract candidates, and maybe even shift some regional flying back to mainline where it belongs. Heck, maybe if the flying schools can't find instructors, maybe they will have to increase instructor pay.
And $100,000??? I paid $35,000 for my FAA ratings, and All ATPs program will run you around $54,000 with housing included and I think they are a little pricey. Only guys going to places like Embry Riddle are paying six figures.
