I think the regional airlines are now screwed big time by their congress.
this is why American Eagle and others are recruiting hundred of pilots...after this, the pond will be empty and good luck to them to attract +1500h pilot with US citizenship or green card.
who want do a pilot training at 100'000$, work 3-4 years as a FI in the States at 1000$/month(if lucky), and finish at 20$/hours in a regional and not making any money for another 5 years until next crisis?
only insane people will go for training.
