As an occasional passenger on QR, I have not noticed the lack of cabin crew. Im not opposing what you are saying from first hand experience as that can not be disputed. I have always had excellent service, no matter what sort of working conditions you guys have had to face. So hands down to you guys for providing such a great service.
When I was recently back in the UK and after reading so many of the comments on the lack of cabin crew on QR flights, I found myself consious of how many cabincrew were on each of my flights. I was on a UK domestic between LGW and ABZ and the aisle looked really crowded. It was a BA 737-400 in a single class layout and there were 5, yes, 5 cabin crew members on board. I believe that aircraft was kitted out with 140 seats, so 3 would have been enough. However BA had 5 CC members on that flight.
My return flight to LGW from ABZ was on a BA BAe 146/Avro RJ 100 and there were 4 CC members on board. Again that aisle felt very crowded.
On a recent Virgin Atlantic 747 flight I was on, I couldnt even begin to tell you how many CC members were on board. Every 5 minutes I saw a new face.
So from a passengers point of view, having the bare minimum of cabin crew members doesn't seem to be common practice among other majors. I just find it annoying now cause I cant stop counting all the crew thanks to you guys...
.....just kidding

Keep up the good work guys, even if it is a struggle. You do a good job.
Cheers
