I could never do what your former colleague did, stranding passengers like that. We both stayed with the aircraft for 14 days and despite not being paid, gave 14 day advance notice, thinking it would get his attention.
"We will leave the aircraft in Paris, if we arenīt paid." I really believed that this would work and he would pay us.....but nope. He managed to find a couple of free-lance pilots, who were asked to show up the day after arrival (so we wouldnīt meet) and they continued. Carefully planned in order to get out of payment. When they returned to EGKB the next week, the bailiff was there and the aircraft arrested, as he hadnīt paid the lease payments and there we stand.
Will try solicitor and small claims and see if it leads anywhere.....thanks all. Will update if I learn anything!
