pread the FIFO ops over 7 days rather than mid-week clusters
That would be ideal, but then you would have us, (oops not in that game anymore) moaning. It depends on the R&R model used, and the dead time to get out of whatever swing you are on.
If a lot of people left on the weekends it would effectively mean you would never get any weekend time with the kids whilst you are in that job. For longer time break models, another words 2 on 2 off etc its not such a big issue. Unfortunitly there's a lot of funny rosters these days which are short on time up, but also short on time down.
