holdat,
Wednesday night was a corker wasnt it
.
While by the sound of the conversations going on there were some aircraft obviously (very) early, it also seemed to be a case of the 'left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing'.
eg. One crew rang up and received a PTL 40min earlier than the original time. Mind you it was still 30min after schedule arrival. After holding on the ground for 20 mins, they still copped a 25 min airbourne delay. When the crew questioned what PTL ATC were holding, it was the original time. The new PTL was never passed on. But the controller (was that you
) who was obviously 'over it' for the night, had the cheek to blame the crew for being early. When the crew had actually done the right thing.
As to why 50% of the inbound flights were early, see all the previous posts.
