I've seen things from both sides of the fence and I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I've flown with outstanding pilots from both backgrounds.
Whether your mantra is "Never go to war with a

in the other seat" I hope we'd all agree on wishing to fly with professionals who by their example make our jobs easier.
JOC, MCC, aptitude testing, sim assessments, psycho analysis, group exercises, HR interviews, "Can you give me an example of blah, blah, blah.....all hoops in one way or another that need to be jumped through if that's what the employer requires.
For those interested in Jet2 I wouldn't get too tied up by the requirement for Yorkshireness, much expansion further north over Hadrians Wall ongoing as well as throughout the network of Man, Ncl and Ema if rumours are to be believed.
