Qatar Airways C/A

"Don't believe the hype."

Since I've been flying for Qatar Airways longer than a year I can honestly say these romours are true. It happends quite often that A300s/A320s aircraft leave with 3 respective 6 C/A:s. What may brought to discussion is the safety issues. According to CAA regulations there must be one C/A per 50 passengers, but I can assure you handling around 110 passengers in Economy Class alone is not an easy matter. On Qatar Airways flight there are at least two C/A:s in First Class. With this example it would only be one C/A in Economy Class which has happend quite often during my career.

Reporting to duty at midnight is nothing I have any complains about. I was well informed about the unregular working hours this job would involve when I became a flight attendant. What can be discussed would be the rostering since we work many days in a row with very little sleep in between.

Ethics and morals don't seem to excist or matter at Qatar Airways. This is why I many times consider to leave since I often feel very disappointed with my choice of career. After all I am young and have my whole life a head of me. Though I do enjoy my time in Qatar my studies begin in a few months, this year in Qatar has been an experience.

For those considering joining Qatar Airways. If you don't mind working many days in a row with lack of sleep and aren't disturbed by never being at home, Qatar Airways is the airline for you.
