I am sorry, I know Liverpool, and I know there is a common check in for Ryanair yet as soon as I walk in the terminal I check the screens, and I am not alone in doing this quite often there is a scrum around them. I suspect there are very few people who don't, especially someone flying to a new destination ( you can be pretty sure that anyone previously fliying to GC knows the airport is also referred to, however incorrectly in your personal view, as Las Palmas).
Whilst accepting your point about Las Palmas / Gran Canaria as the name of the airport to say these people bear no personal responsibility for missing the flight is wrong as is to blame Ryanair in total.
