Ron Goodwin, superb and often overlooked composer. He also did 'Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines' and did some of the incidental music for 'The Battle Of Britain', the main theme being of course by Sir William Walton, so he did his bit for aviation in his own way.
Actually Ron Goodwin wrote a complete score for BoB, as WW's was considered by Universal - allegedly - to be too short, and too derivative. The BoB film as originally released had the title piece by WW, and all the rest was by RG.
"Aces High" is my favourite, although I love his theme from "Where Eagles Dare" as well.
