Crewmeal, there was a small shop / catering outlet in the departures cabin at CVT. My point was that if an airport is going to charge next to zero PSC, they need to make it back somehow - this will mainly come from parking, but some form of retail needed too - more flexibilty on the ground.
A London route would nice,
Can't see that happening, not FR's game - if they can't make money on STN-PIK - a much longer surface route with virtually no PSC at the northern end, how could they make a route work from MAN? Easy make domestic routes work because they don't need as many bums on each rotation and they offer frequency to generate business yields.

Likewise, BE might face competition on some routes but they only have to fill half the seats to make them work. Also, many places BE go, FR don't. Jet2 might be more worried but they seem to have held up at LBA, EDI etc.
