Hi saddest aviator

heres some ideas

are there part time or job sharing options in your company? A partial or 1/3 reallocation of time to completely different duties might help.

If you have a gem of a wife she might have the means to help pay the bills,or want to develope her own career. I lucked out in that regard.

The Uk can be dark and down, to the point that winters can leave people with seasonal affective disorder..joining a sporting team, getting really fit, getting more sunlight, or just plain moving to a nice sunny country with a variation in work might do it.
Jumping in Cessna and going for a flight up the coast in OZ usually fixes the
cobwebs.
There was a poor sod in the left seat not that long ago in the USA who decided to have a rant mid flight but sadly had his mike stuck on, informing the entire cabin plus all the aircraft in his sector plus ATC in great detail how he felt about his career!

A job in safety related management or education may be fullfilling ...at least theres a sense that its meaningfull work.Teaching always felt enjoyable to me.
