Safety is freaking important to QF employees normally!?
I think you two are missing the point. Most other airlines, including my employer and AirNZ, chose not to fly
through the ash, therefore safety was never compromised. The BA incident is irrelevent.
It's beyond me why QF cancelled so many flights......
