If you take out the 9/11 crashes which obviously were out of the control of the airlines then the stats clearly show that for the last 20 years the lowest fleet incident/accident rates in the world are for
mainline jet operations by United States airlines.
Bottom line is that FAA ATP license holders holds somehow seem to be doing a pretty good job without knowing how to derive the mathematical formulas behind the forces affecting a Gyro, or which way the wind blows in India in June.
