Bmibaby, also the former hunting ground of Mr Davis, is a subsidiary of loss-making British carrier bmi and flies to European destinations from several regional UK airports.
Germany's Lufthansa took control of bmi last year and attempted to sell the carrier but withdrew it from the market when it was unable to achieve an acceptable price.
There has been speculation in the UK media, that Lufthansa would sell or close bmibaby, which announced in November it would cut its fleet from 17 to 12 planes and cut jobs to concentrate on routes where there were clear prospects of growth.
Tiger's statement said that Ms Roberts would take a "well-earned break" after completing her hand-over to Mr Rix.
