I have tried several programs to stop these ads, and the best by far is from meaya (
www.popup-killer.com). Most of the others will not let a window below a certain size open, which can be quite annoying on an everyday basis, but this one will only work on actual ads. It's well worth the $25 to register after the free trial - I've been using it for a couple of years and am constantly amazed at the amount of ads I see on when using other computers!
