Another IRU fault resulting in sudden departure from controlled flight?
Several months ago an A330 transiting across Australia suffered a transient electrical fault in IRU1. It caused AP1 to think the aircraft had pitched down ~40 degrees.
Needless to say it pitched up in response. Fortunately they recovered and the aircraft landed safely after diverting.
I wonder if this did similar, only in the opposite sense?
