In that case there's something not right with the Jet2 assessment/recruitment process because I've heard from the inside that they've really been scraping the barrel in terms of who they can recruit due to the lack of suitable pilots, resulting in some problems and chopping going on in initial training. I refuse to believe that if there were 3000 applications.
I guess it's more a case of a lack of suitable applicants who were also prepared to pay for a type rating and/or be bonded and/or be on a crappy 70% contract.
