Fifteen years ago I sent to a lab in Sunderland a sample of Conoco supplied Jet A1 and a sample of 28 Second Heating Oil . The result proved very surprising the sample of 28 Second Heating Oil was identical in composition but contained less water than the Jet A1 sample.If you propose to use 28 Second Heating Oil it is imperative you fit a Facet VFG 21-609 Fuel Filter fitted with a I P Monitor Cartridge.( About £300.00 ) Check the drains daily and run a water test.
