A few times in recent months I have seen PAX arriving on long haul (well IST / DXB) coming through more than an hour after the flight has shown as landed. It's a disgrace, it has been for years, but neither the airport nor the handling agents, nor possibly the client airlines, seen willing to spend the money to make the place operate efficiently from an arrivals perspective.
With the cutbacks in staff both within the handling agents and the airport, there is no way that the times could be cut. Offloading of baggage etc is labour intensive. If you don't have the manpower available then you will always be on a hiding to nothing........One of the set backs of everyone wanting cheap flights but a first class service......You can't have both.
