Numbers

Yes indeed I was refering to KAL, that is the one with the 9 dayīs off deal.

All of them somehow joined the "Failing Club", fail to recruit sufficient numbers. Fail to keep sufficient numbers and failed several times to grab the excistent opportunity to get the track.

I am sorry Vanios that you went thru the Korean hardship, I am sure you agree that the postīs are only the tip of the Iceberg. If someone dares to post all facts we would call him a liar and someone who makes it up......

Back to India.... officialy 6 / 2 pattern for B777, reality could be 3 / 1 if you live close to the Destination. Recently the BOM-FRA-JFK-FRA-BOM, with alot of crews staying in central Europe, got canned and it is now mainly BOM-JFK-BOM direct and BOM-FRA-BOM. So beside that rest of the oddīs are still excisting. It is just a matter of time until the fast growing Indian market mushroomes again and the Expats have the "go home stamp" again.....

I remember a ramp check in JFK when the Inspector talked with me about the white and red Airplane accross the tarmac, he would wonder where they locate the Pilots from when the July 2010 passes.... Target remains the same I guess, Inda for Indian Pilots only... just a matter of time when it is voiced again.

At THY you get 3 / 1 for A330/340 and B777 as well but some of the conditon are diffrent. You get employed from the Airline directly. You can become a Union Member from the first day on and you have the option as a European to go home when the schedule shows a suitable gap. The network from IST to Euope is good enough and you can hop on a flight after you arrive in IST. Letīs get some more insight......

Fly safe and land happy
