An instructor flying a C172, let's call it AB-AAZ. On a marginal wx day was asked by ATC:
"AAZ, control, confirm you are in
Victor
Mike
Charlie"
Instructor replied:
"Negative control I'm in
Alpha
Alpha
Zulu"
