Both of you are correct. we are all entitled to our opinions and also there is (as Facts Please stated) a number of considerations that a company needs to make before he buys his new car or aircraft.
There are some problems at QR regarding staff turnover and morale, etc, and I ASSURE anyone who has never experienced QR dircetly, that this is a real difficulty out here. Unless you have been employed by QR or are close to the Company, then you could NEVER appreciate the comments being made by some of the crew and staff. In today's economic climate, sadly no-one can just get out if they don't like it.............as with many companies, and not just airlines, many staff remain in a job they dont like because there is no immediate commercial alternative. They need to work to earn and support their families back home, etc.....
However, things are changing at QR - slowly, but changing.
As for the A380 - and I know that I posted the original question on this thread, please let me assure you (and trust me) that Qatar WILL be ordering the aircraft officially. Indeed, I have since found out that the current situation in Doha w.r.t. this aircraft is excatly as described by Mr. Facts Please above.
