March Route Analysis
The passengers figures are from the CAA with 2010 in brackets.
These are schedule only and the average pax and load factor
have been estimated from a BHX blog and libhomeradar.
I checked some of my January's and February's figures and
was slightly disappointed with the details used from libhomeradar,
as the CAA punctuality stats showed more rotations in about 50%
of the figures. This month I have used the BHX blog for non-UK airlines
re the number of rotations and more often than not I have used the
expected rotations for the UK airlines, which for March was easy due
to the lack of bad weather or bank holidays.

TK figures are going backwards, which is a major disappointment
out of all of these. EK I think was a record for sheer numbers
although load factor last March was 91%, as quite a few three
class 77W's were used compared to none in March 2011. In fact
nearly 50% of the flights were operated by the 442 seat version.
Another good example that good load factors mean nothing, Prague
and Krakow are no more despite 77% and 85% respectively. At least
the former is back for winter but still a surprise it was not kept until
late May when there is no room in the Baby schedule for it. Hopefully
with the two base closures later this year, Prague is here to stay.
