Following the meeting on Saturday Amy is very hopeful of making some progress with HKR (Hong Kong Resorts). Apparently the "legislation" does permit overnight access through the tunnel, but NOT by taxi. Also the ads for Sienna 2 in Saturdays press (both Chinese and English) state that 24 hour shuttle services are available to Tung Chung. (On phoning the sales telephone number, we were told that this was a "mistake")
Amy is hoping that HKR will agree to a one hourly bus service through Tung Chung although the fare may be higher than day time (Still much cheaper and more convenient than a taxi to central)
Amy is now dealing with HKR and the transport department, and she would like as many people as possible to email their support (or comments) to her at
[email protected] as soon as possible ( preferably including your address) in order to strengthen her case. Please also ask Cabin crew and anyone else in DB who uses the airport, to support us.
