Most captains I fly with - it's A/P on at 400' and off again at 1500' on approach. That is, unless it's "iffy" (less than 1sm vis or 800foot ceiling) then it's autoland.
On the 737, they also sent out a memo saying no more than 14 days off/month
including travel days. That means you can only take your leave days (9) and your vacation days (2) at the same time. The vacation days have basically become leave days.
