I have always been blessed with plenty more room than I need when reuniting C182 with terra firma. On the odd occasion when things have been a little tight, and after consulting the P charts of course
, full flap has definately been warranted. Attempting a short field landing without 40 degrees of 'barn door' hanging out would be difficult.
Why do aircraft have flaps?
Hmmmm, so they don't leave snail trails?
