Just my 2 pence worth, for all those who keep touting the "if ye were in a union your !!!! would smell better" line. There are quite a lot of guys in FR from different parts of the world who in a previous life worked for airlines with strong union representation, these went bust or down sized and they lost their job. I am not saying that both are directly related, but having the experience of having to feed your family while your on protective notice will change your outlook and mind set. Having said all that guys lets get real, you should not accept anything more than a pay increase and better terms and conditions from these "visits". And the best of luck to all involved.
