I am with Ndicho Moja , Air Kenya took some beating back in the 70s , Comanches ( Single was the best ) Aztecs , Navajos and Barons ( my 2 real faves ). The variation was great , flying Film Stars one day , engineers the next ,nightstops in all the great lodges and camps ( all for free ) , Mount Kenya Safari Club and Governors Camp , Catholic Missions in the NFD , even sleeping on a campbed under the wing in places like Moyale and Mandera . Most days back in time to have beers and goss in the Aero Club or Dambusters , Friday night at the Golf Range disco , lots of rugby , golf and going to the races.
Shame it all had to end . Flew as a pax on them a few months ago down to Malindi , some of the Kenyan staff were amazed to find someone who had flown there before they were born !
I wanted to end my flying career there , but work permit not as freely available these days .
