European airlines top IAG's shopping list | Reuters
I think IAG needs to capitalise on it's week areas: Far East/South Ear Asia and Africa.
Finnair is an obvious choice however TAP is also being banded about. If the latter takes place, along with IAG's partnership with AA; they pretty much dominate the EU-North America, South America, Caribbean.
If Finnair joined it would certainly help with the pathetic Asia network that IAG have.
Finally, surely Aer Lingus must be in the pot? SAS anyone?
