Connections to BA flights

In the context of BA 'beach holiday' flights, don't forget that many of us outside SE England use Lo-Co carriers to get us to our final departure point. From that point of view, LGW is much more convenient than LHR, and the more flights that BA schedule from LGW the better, as far as I am concerned.
For example, when I need to fly to TPA, I fly into LGW the evening before, straight to hotel and depart the next morning, with no travel round the M25. On the inbound sector, even better. Arrive from TPA about 9:00 a.m. and catch the EZY flight to MJV 3 hours later.
As has been stated before, BA is becoming more and more of a 'point to point' air-line. In BA's shoes I would be seeing how I could use the EZY arrival schedule to slot into my departure time-table [wistful thinking I know]
