Since when did you have to ask the minister for permission to fly AC out of an airport? I live by the mantra "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission".
Surely this can be circumvented; the airline operators just fly the AC in and out of the airport and BAL pleads "nescio quid" when questioned on it.
BAL is damned if they do and damned if they don't, when seen to be closing down the AP they get hammered, now they are trying to make it a viable AP and have been hammered from the other side!
So how many movements per day are there at YSBK? Surely 32 more won't make a difference...perhaps MAp has had a word ($$ donation) to MP Albanese.
