I've been using a FlyMap L for 2.5 years with 1/4 and 1/2 mill UK maps, plus Jeppeson for Europe and it's great! The ability to touch an airfield and bring up the pooleys info was an additional extra, but well worth it. I don't use NOTAMS or weather, preferring to use alternative (and more reliable) sources. My product came with FlyMap Win software and to be honest, i can't imagine using the unit without this software. All your flight planning can be done in the comfort of your own living room and all flight docs can be printed off before getting in the aircraft. You can calculate endurance/fuel stops, as well profile the route.
