While you have a point about some of the questions that appear on the Mil Forum, which I hasten to add are often removed to that forum, it remains the right of a wannabe if he has a specific Mil question to ask it on this forum.
Where else would he have that opportunity on PPRuNe? What other forum?
As I always advocate, frequently, PPRuNe is unique in that it has some incredible talent aboard, and that talent should be, and is, available to those who wish to ask for it from the ground up, in every department of flying. If someone doesn't wish to assist a wannabe that is a matter for them, but I hope they try to remember when they needed questions answered. And NO, I cannot agree that the internet is alive with the answers either, you cannot ask a live question - THAT people is the difference.
I take a keen interest in the Mil Forum although it is not moderated. I support it as an ex-Mil, and I vehmently support the Chinook campaign.
Just give a bit of thought to the questions wannabes ask and help them. They are not ALL daft!
Oh, one more thing. I think you can take it as read that this forum will not go private. Danny and the modertaors have enough to do already.
