Recent AeroLogic & CargoLux Newhires - Questions
For those of us who aspire to flying for one of these carriers, can someone describe the "average" qualifications and backgrounds of recent (perhaps last 1-2 years) newhires?
I know there is a difference between the stated minimums and the actual "competitive" profiles. Where have the newhires flown before? Locos? Smaller regional carriers? Military? I realise there are probably newhires who hit all of these buckets. Any examples of where recent newhires at AeroLogic and CargoLux have flown before?
Also, is certain aircraft type experience preferred over other types? Excluding all of the political stuff (i.e., you need to know somebody or get referred by current pilots), what is helpful in getting you noticed beyond having more than the stated minimums?
