scorcher No upstart LCC carrier has ever survived long term in Australia and to date TT has only survived on the back of Singapore money. Supposed stories of TT making profits is largely a smoke screen.
Its not possible to operate a pure Y class airline and make money unless it has a significant back bone and feeder traffic. Even Virgin Blue (who would never have survived if it wasn't for the AN collpase) are now seeing they need a true 2 class operation. Discount tickets alone just dont pay the high operating costs in the Australian market - high costs/long distances/low population.

Tigers agressive corporate culture just doesn't work in Australia... I dont want to see any Aussies out of a job.... but the Tiger's days are numbered
