You cannot just grad any old C210 handbook and think you can jump into any old C210 and fly it (plus any owner in their right mind wont let you). You will need to have the exact model POH in which you intend to fly. The C210 model range probably have the greatest number of changes off all aircraft ever built. I dont know of any other aircraft type that has so many different characteristics. There are numerous different types of engines, speeds, weights, seating arrangements and hydraulic systems used.
Oh dear! Its not that complicated.

If its got struts - don't retract the gear. Leave'm down and pretend its a C206.
If its got gear door - be prepared to land it gear up (not accidently!) when the doors refuse to open to let the gear out!
If it doesn't have gear doors, generally all good if its well maintained!

After all its just a SE, retractable, CSU aeroplane.

PS: Oh yeah, and if you are tempted to pull the gear horn circuit breaker so that you can stooge around at a low power setting without that annoying gear - don't. It is likely to end in tears!
